Rameen Javidian - Junior Board Member
Rameen is committed to efforts that dismantle state mechanisms targeting Muslims through bad tech infrastructure. Currently at DAWN, a nonprofit founded by Jamal Khashoggi—a victim of spyware—Rameen focuses on the contradictions in U.S. foreign policy and its implications in the MENA region. In previous roles, he has researched how U.S. national security is exploited as a pretext for violating the rights of minorities. His community involvement has fueled his dedication to challenging carceral tactics where they are most critical.
Rameen holds a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard, where he organized with the Harvard Out of Occupied Palestine coalition, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego, where he re-established the Muslim Student Association.
