Melody Seraydarian - Communications Intern

Melody Seraydarian is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies with a concentration in Media, Law, and Policy and minors in Journalism and Public Policy. Her research interests broadly include international press freedom, the legal implications of burgeoning technologies, and the intricate regulatory dimensions that underpin the media landscape. As a Communications Intern at the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, Melody is interested in researching and communicating the impact of mass surveillance on marginalized communities, promoting equitable technology policy reforms, and advocating for increased government transparency. Upon graduation, Melody hopes to further her education in political journalism and subsequently attend law school.
