Adrian Gomez
Communications Intern
Adrian Gomez is a sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin studying Advertising in the Moody College Honors Program. Driven by a passion for helping others and fostering meaningful change, he has gained valuable experience working with various non-profit organizations, where he honed his skills in storytelling and communication. He is particularly interested in applying his advertising and communications knowledge to support meaningful causes. In his free time, Adrian enjoys taking photos, playing video games, and reading.

Alissa Johnson
Legal Intern
Alissa is a third-year student at Yale Law School. She is interested in carceral surveillance oversight, consumer protection, and platform governance. Prior to law school, Alissa got her B.A. from Grinnell College in Economics and Computer Science, worked as a penetration tester for Mercury Information Security Services, then spent two years as a Research Analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Anne Marie Mulligan
Legal Intern
Anne Marie Mulligan is a second-year law student at New York Law School. She holds a European Master in Law and Economics from Hamburg University and Erasmus University Rotterdam, as well as a BA in International Studies from American University. While she has experience in the private sector, she is particularly interested in the development of sound policy around emerging technology that maximizes societal benefit and minimizes harm.

Anuj Jain
Civil Rights Intern
Anuj Jain, a junior at NYU, is a Civil Rights Intern. He currently majors in Public Policy and Psychology, where he has interned in a Psychology Lab and a few government offices. He is passionate about protecting individual privacy and how the law can be used to fight back against oversurveillance, particularly for minority groups.

Bridget Li
Advocacy Intern
Bridget Li is a 4th-year student at CUNY Hunter College studying urban studies, public policy, and studio art. They are interested in the urban dimension of surveillance and policing, intersections between surveillance, economic development, and social order, and social welfare policy.

Carla Sanchez
Research Intern
Carla is a technologist, advocate, and aspiring researcher who wishes to use the intersection of education, art, and computer science to highlight the social implications of technology. She recently received her self-designed degree in Human-computer Interaction from CUNY BA, has assisted legislators in policy regarding the environmental impact of data centers, interned at the United Nations Computing Centre, and has been the recipient of several scholarships, such as the CMD-IT/ACM Richard Tapia Travel Scholarship and the AnitaB.org Advancing Inclusion Scholarship.

Donya Khaksari
Research Intern
Donya is a recent graduate from the University of Oregon, holding a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. Her focus is on incarceration studies and feminist technoscience. At STOP, she aims to expand on her research interests by studying the impact of surveillance technologies on the privacy of incarcerated peoples. In her free time, Donya enjoys playing tennis, reading, and cooking!

Elena Kuran
Legal Intern
Elena is a third-year student at Northeastern University School of Law. Her interests lie at the intersection of law, design, privacy, and justice. Specifically, Elena is committed to using liberatory legal design as a tool for movement lawyering. She previously interned at the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the Amsterdam Law Hub. Elena works part-time as a criminal defense paralegal, focusing on cases in which evidence was collected by surveillance technologies.

Kylla Castillo
Communications intern
Kylla is finishing her last year at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where she is pursuing a B.A. in Political Science. While at UBC, Kylla has been involved in multiple student clubs and societies and is currently working as a co-lead at the Digital Tattoo Project, a cross-institutional digital literacy project between UBC and the University of Toronto. This spring she is a Communications Intern at S.T.O.P. and is excited to learn about and contribute to the fight against unjust surveillance technology practices. Some of her other interests are video game preservation, nature documentaries, and museum hopping.

Lucy Gundel
Nonprofit Development intern
Lucy is currently a senior at Vassar College, pursuing a BA in International Studies and Spanish. Throughout their time at Vassar, Lucy has explored different intersections of surveillance and justice, including Israel's use of surveillance technology, border control, and the effects of biometric collection. Last summer, she interned with the Surveillance Resistance Lab, researching the implementation and impacts of Mobile Driver's Licenses in the US. In their free time, Lucy enjoys picking up new art projects, singing bad karaoke with friends, and spending time in the forest (especially when back in their hometown in the SF Bay Area, California)!

Miranda is a junior at the College of William & Mary pursuing a degree in computer science and philosophy. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and birdwatching.

Samuel Agyarko Koranteng (“Kofi”)
Research Intern
Samuel is a graduate student pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity and Public Policy at Tufts University, where he explores the intersection of technology, policy, and global security. His academic interests focus on cyber-risk management, digital privacy protection, and the evolving challenges posed by emerging technologies to organizations and society. Samuel aims to expand his focus on privacy to include advocacy and research in technology surveillance during his time at S.T.O.P. In his free time, he enjoys playing the guitar and learning new songs.

Srinidhi Ramakrishna
Research Intern
Srinidhi is a research intern at S.T.O.P. and a recent MSc graduate from the Oxford Internet Institute, where she studied as a Thouron Scholar. Her research at Oxford examined the politics of migration, policing, and surveillance technologies in the UK, and her larger research interests lie in investigating algorithmic harms and resistance from a critical data studies perspective. Currently and prior to graduate school, Srinidhi was a product manager in the media industry, where she worked on recommendations, search, and content management features. She received her BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, where she researched the politics of the American carceral state. In her free time, Srinidhi enjoys making music and biking.

Tramy Dong
Communications intern
Tramy is a junior at the Barnard College of Columbia University studying Computer Science. She is interested in the intersection of technology and activism, hoping to learn more about surveillance systems and possible solutions.

Tsion Agaro
Civil Rights Intern
Tsion is a junior at Yale University studying Ethnicity, Race, and Migration, with a focus on critical data studies. She is passionate about topics related to the use of technology in policing, and the wider societal implications of technological advancements (particularly AI). She works with the Anti-Eugenics Collective at Yale, with a focus on understanding the legacies of AI in the fields of Statistics and AI. At S.T.O.P., she is excited to learn about the work that can be done against mass surveillance. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and practicing Spanish.
