MEDIA ADVISORY Albany Electeds, Advocates Rally For AI Accountability (New York, NY 5/15/24) – Today at 12:30 PM EST the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (S.T.O.P.) will host a press conference and rally at the New York State Capitol in Albany joined by elected officials, NYC DSA Tech Action Working Group, Thuley, and other civil rights groups to call for greater industry and legal accountability in the use of artificial intelligence in New York State. Organizers and elected officials will call for passage of four bills to protect New Yorkers from the discriminatory impact of AI in employment, public benefits, policing, and other high-risk areas.
