We Took the Fight to the NYPD's HQ!

Friend,

It’s been a really distressing start to the summer for civil rights in our country. But amidst all the terrible news, S.T.O.P. has stood in solidarity with fellow activists to fight back against NYPD’s racist surveillance and policing abuses. This week, we held our final two Stop Surveillance Summer events, including a spy-in at the NYPD headquarters at One Police Plaza and a geofence simulation in Washington Square Park.

From the rally at City Hall to this week’s public actions, Stop Surveillance Summer has been a powerful campaign to raise New Yorkers’ awareness about the dangers of mass surveillance. We want to thank all the friends and supporters who made these events possible.

The fight is far from over, but we are confident that with your support, we will end NYPD’s deployment of surveillance technologies that threaten BIPOC, Muslim, immigrant, and LGBTQ+ communities every day. If you couldn’t attend our Stop Surveillance Summer protests, you can still support the fight against mass surveillance as a monthly donor

In solidarity,
Will Owen
