MEDIA ADVISORY Albany Electeds, Advocates Rally Against Geofence Warrants (NEW YORK, NY, 1/30/2024) – On Tuesday, February 6th at 3 PM EST the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project (S.T.O.P.) will host a press conference and rally at the New York State Capitol in Albany joined by elected officials, the New York Civil Liberties Union, Amnesty International USA, Legal Aid Society, the Policing & Social Justice Project, NYU Law Rights over Tech and other civil rights groups to condemn the use of geofence and keyword warrants and call for the swift passage of the Reverse Location and Reverse Keyword Search Prohibition Act (Solages A3306/Myrie S217) in New York State.
