Friend,
We’ve told you before about the landmark POST Act, which went into effect last month, forcing the NYPD to reveal what spy tools it uses to track New Yorkers.
We were pleasantly surprised when the NYPD seemed to comply with the law, publishing 36 reports. Then, we started reading. Yes, there are some important revelations, but there are mainly pages of boiler-plate text, copy and pasted for each policy, and hiding crucial facts that the NYPD is required to disclose. It’s wrong, it’s deceptive, and we need your help to fight back.
Under law, the NYPD has to collect and review every public comment submitted between now and February 25th, and we need your voice to be heard. Can you take 2 minutes to submit a comment on www.POSTAct.org?

We know everyone is busy, so we set up www.POSTAct.org to make the process simple. With a single click, you can pull-up a pre-written email comment. You can send that email, or customize the language to explain exactly what you think of NYPD policies. The NYPD thinks they can sidestep the law…let’s show them they’re wrong.
With thanks,
Albert Fox Cahn, Esq.
Executive Director
