Derrick “dwreck” ingram - Community Advisory Board Member
Derrick “Dwreck” Ingram is a co-founder of Warriors in the Garden (WITG), a collective of activists dedicated to non-violent protest propelling social and legislative change. He is also the director of WITG’s communication department, overseeing public relations, digital strategy, and creative direction. Warriors in the Garden has become his chosen family, connected by the visceral pain and trauma they have experienced at the hands of the police. He has recently been the victim of police surveillance while actively protesting and organizing against police brutality. He has been fighting to educate his comrades on the monitoring that occurs when organizing acts of civil disobedience. Since Michael Brown’s death in 2014, Dwreck has fought fervently to combat the atrocities and systemic racial injustices affecting Black communities across the country. He graduated in 2014 from Saint Louis University, receiving an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing.
