Alan Newcomb - Operations Associate

Alan joined S.T.O.P. as operations associate after leaving a two-decade career in the film industry as a camera assistant to pursue a master’s degree in social work at the University of Georgia, and spend more time with his wife, two children, mother, plants, books, and cat.  While grateful for the years he spent backing up some of the world’s best cinematographers, he is thrilled to now provide support to the lawyers, activists & advocates of S.T.O.P., applying his logistical and systems experience to a whole new sector of watchers and watching. Alan received his B.A. from Bard College in 2003, is finishing his MSW this year and is currently interning as a Spiritual Health Clinician at Emory University Hospital’s Winship Cancer Institute in Atlanta.
