ALIYA BHATIA - JUNIOR BOARD MEMBER (Former)

Aliya Bhatia is a policy and campaigns professional working at the intersection of technology, human rights, and civic participation. She is currently a policy analyst at the Center for Democracy & Technology's Free Expression team. She previously worked at Ranking Digital Rights to increase public engagement around the team's research on corporate power and tech companies' commitments to human rights. Prior to this, she worked on expanding access to the first digital decennial census in New York State, working with 150+ partners and community-based organizations. She has worked with The Brookings Institution, Civic Hall, Digital Justice Lab, Silicon Harlem, the New York Immigration Coalition, and Canada's NDP.
